I got my dress :)
Once upon a time I woke up way too early in the morning on the day I was supposed to go shopping for my wedding dress. Luckily, this did not negatively affect my ability to find the perfect dress. After completing my history midterm first thing this morning, I headed to David's Bridal with two of my best friends and my future mother-in-law. I only tried on a few dresses before I found the one. It's not what I had in mind at all. It's ivory, instead of white. It has lace, which I never pictured. But it's perfect. It looks very vintage, almost 1920s style. It's perfect for a winter wedding, and it's perfect for our venue, and it's perfect for me. No pictures until the wedding though :)

I can hear the bells..
With the recent changes in my life I suppose the name of my blog is still accurate. That's right, I just got engaged, last Saturday actually. No, this is not going to become just another wedding blog, but because my family is in Kansas and I am in Utah I am going to keep everyone posted on exactly what is going on with the wedding plans.
The first thing everyone asks when they find out I'm engaged is, "How did he propose?" So I guess I'll answer that once and for all for everyone who's wondering. We went out on a nice date to Tucanos, the most delicious place ever! It's a Brazilian grill where they keep bringing you meat until you ask them to stop. It exceeded expectations. Then we went into Provo to the courthouse across from the old tabernacle, and he asked me there. He, by the way, is Curtis Mitton, and he's pretty great. He also did a great job picking out the ring. It's beautiful and it suits me perfectly! (He went to Jared.)

The next thing everyone wants to know is "When is the big day?" Well we're getting married on December 30th at noon in the Logan temple. We're planning on having the reception the night before but we don't have the reception place picked out yet.
Thus far we've done quite a bit of the planning stuff. We're all done registering (at Macy's, Target, and Walmart). And last night we designed our invitations. Tomorrow I'm going dress shopping and I'm really excited for that! Our colors are black and white with a red accent, just because I think it's classy). I guess that's all that we've done so far, but it's all coming along very nicely!
Our registries:
Macy's (This stuff goes on sale sporadically so check back often!)
Target
Walmart
